Sarah Eskandari is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of Pennsylvania, where she explores the dynamics of religious mobility, pandemics, and frontier challenges in modern Iran. Her dissertation examines gender, religious mobility, and the emergence of anti-patriarchal discourses in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
