Jacob Rivkin

2018 PPEH Artist-in-Residence

Jacob Rivkin's sculptures and animations explore how we experience and internalize landscape. He received his BA from Vassar College and MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. His work has exhibited at the Arlington Arts Center, the Chemical Heritage Foundation Museum, the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Animation Block Party, and the National Museum of Australia. His awards include a Fulbright Fellowship, selection as a finalist for the anthropoScene Film Competition, a residency at the Hacktory, and an Ecotopian Toolkit Grant. He has taught animation and design courses at Franklin & Marshall College, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. He is currently a visual arts fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
